Steve McCurry Inspired

This was one of my first photography projects I had in college. I thought hard about who I wanted to base my project off of— we were able to choose one professional photographer of our choice, choose a piece of their work, and make it our own art. I surprised myself with how raw and crisp these photographs came out.

I wanted to emphasize, through the photos, how beauty can be portrayed through the eyes— minus the makeup hair skin lips, etc. The headscarves portray beauty in such a unique way— and they prove, in fact, that beauty does true come from within, and through the eyes.
